Steam Showers for Dandy Rolls

In case of Double side flanged Dandy Roll system a central header pipe is supported by a shaft at the drive end with the other end of the central header pipe passing through the opening of the journal of the Dandy Roll flange at the front/tendering side. Entry of water and steam in this system is from the front side. A steam shower is connected by means of ladder arrangement to the central header pipe. Similarly, a steam heated catch pan below the HP water shower is connected to the header pipe by means of ladder. The water shower is supported by supporting fixtures welded on the catch pan. Both the steam and water showers can be taken out of the Dandy Roll, independently for flushing when necessary. | |
